Nut allergies

Whilst we always endeavour to use a locally sourced finish, such as 100% beeswax produced on our property, we sometimes opt for Tung Oil which is a popular protective dry finishing oil for wood items. Tung Oil is obtained by pressing the seed from the nut of the Tung tree – otherwise known as Vernicia Fordii – which originates from China.

If you have a nut allergy, it’s a good idea to do your research to ensure you’re comfortable with our use of this product. If you aren’t comfortable with our use of Tung Oil, simply email us and we will ensure we finish your products in an alternative.
